Magic Johnson was quoted to have said that LeBron James will signed with the New York Knicks. Just one thought here: who cares what Magic Johnson says about anything?

The Philadelphia 76ers have suffered their 12th straight lose in a row by losing to the Houston Rockets last night. The Sixers had three guys with ten plus rebounds (Samuel Dalembert, Thaddeus Young, and Elton Brand); good. Of the 11 Sixers to see action, only two shot 50% or better (aforementioned Young and Andre Iguodala); bad.

Both the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers won. So much for "time for the mighty to fall".

The good game of the night was the Cleveland Cavaliers playing the Portland Trailblazers. The Cavs almost lost the game until something happened. The Cavs remembered that LaMarcus Aldridge hates rebounding (second coming of Mark Blount), and they realized that if Anderson Varajao could match La-Aldridge, they'd have them.

Aldridge: 22pts, 2rebs, an assist and a steal...

Varajao: 22pts, 10rebs, an assist, a block and two steals. Cleveland wins: of course, out-shooting and out-rebounding the other teams helps too.

Shaq getting poked in the eye = Shaq getting angry and vengeful.

The Toronto Raptors picked up Hedo Turkoglu some months ago. The Atlanta Hawks picked up Jamal Crawford some months ago. Toronto is still a sub-.500 team. Atlanta is one of the best teams this season. Last night, they fight... who wins?

When business mixes with fun, it becomes a nightmare. Things were going by happily, when the Sixers piped up and signed former Sixer star Allen Iverson.

The tumultuous star turned out a couple of tumultuous seasons these last few years. He brings the Sixers to the brink of success in the Finals versus the dreaded Lakers. He then decides he hates his coach, and practice, gets sent to Denver, fits with the Nug-nugs for about 28 minutes of actual on court time, then, off-season, moves to Memphis. Griz coach Lionel Hollins (God bless him) had the guts to tell Mr. Answer that the young team belonged to the young stars, Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo.

After three whole games, Iverson "leaves" the team, and effectively retires. A peace was beginning to wash over the league until Larry Brown, said hated former coach, pleaded with A.I. to stay.

Allen Iverson can do two things well, and only two: score (not shoot, he is a stinky and streaky shooter), and steal. Since returning to Phily, he has made a small stamp on defense... that is it. In two games, as of right now, he has managed 22 points, three steals, nine assists, and has made seven shots and committed seven turnovers. Memphis was 1-6 with him around (Memphis has been 8-6 since he left), and Phil, as bad as they have been, is 0-3 since re-signing him.

So Allen... how is it workin' for ya so far?

Now, Tracy McGrady has been on the pine due to injury, and the recovery thereof. Despite not logging a single moment in this '09-'10 season so far, T-Mac is second in voting among Western Conference guards.

This is where my understanding fails me. I thought the meaning of the conjuction between the words "All" and "Star" meant someone who was being a star this current season. Thanks to this vote, and past ones in the last few seasons (about half of Vince Carter's career), I will be writing Mr. Stern to change the name to the "Mr. America" contest.

This may sound harsh, but if T-Mac is returned from injury by the "Mr.America" break and he has any honor, he will step aside and allow someone to be on the team who actually deserves to be there.

The two most interesting games on tonights docket are Chicago vs. Golden State and New York vs. New Orleans. Simply put, of all the games playing tonight, these two feature teams who are actually good matchups... they're all not that good.

On a serious note, Lebron vs. Brandon Roy is a good matchup, as well as Kevin Durant vs. Rudy Gay. Also, good luck to Charlotte and Minne"snota". It is time the might fall.
