Ohio State Loses A New Coach Heading Into The 2024 Season
Adam Cairns/Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORK

Ohio State’s head coach, Ryan Day, is gearing up to take the Buckeyes far this season, but he will have to do it without one of the coaches he had during spring ball.

Tony Alford Left This Spring

In March, Ohio State’s running back coach, Tony Alford, left the program to take the same role for their rival, Michigan, shocking many players and fans. Now, another coach seems to be leaving this spring.

Ohio State Lose A Pass-Rush Specialist

According to Lettermen Row, Ohio State added pass rush specialist Brandon Jordan to its coaching staff back in February, and on Wednesday, it was confirmed that he is no longer with the program.

Jordan spent time as a pass-rush specialist with Michigan State in 2022 and then the Seattle Seahawks in 2023 before joining the Buckeyes staff this winter.

Ohio State is supposed to have one of the best defensive lines in the country this season. One of their weaknesses last year was getting to the quarterback, so hopefully, Jordan could coach the pass rushers up during his short time with the team this spring, and maybe the Buckeyes will get home to the quarterback a few more times this season.
